words like “inerrant” or “infallible,” the vast majority of them are not truly convinced that every part of the Bible has merit and impact for today. Most preachers agree with Paul’s words to Timothy, “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work” (2 Tim. 3:16–17). But one would not know this by examining the preaching calendar of some preachers for several years.
